Kiveton Park Meadows Junior School

We take care, we show care.

Jaguars (6SH)

Welcome to Jaguar Class (6SH)

With Mrs Hall, Mrs McCarthy & Mrs Spencer

Our Class Name... The Jaguars

To link in with our class name and to help protect these threatened animals, we will be adopting our very own jaguar from the WWF.  Animal adoptions like this give the WWF a huge boost to their work. They not only help fund projects to work with local communities to monitor jaguar movements and help protect their habitat but also fund our other vital work around the world.

We will receive lots of information and updates about our adopted jaguar throughout the year. :o)

Our class mascot

Our class mascot this year is obviously a cuddly version of our adopted Jaguar.

Meet Jaxson:

He will be lurking at the front of the classroom, watching you work really hard and listening to your fantastic questions and answers!

I wonder if you'll be able to find out why his name is Jaxson? I'll give you a clue, it has something to do with one of my favourite subjects...PE/Sports!

Autumn Term 2021

Our exciting history topic this coming term is based on the village of Kiveton and World War One.  During this term we will be learning about: the history of our village; how the village has changed over time; how the first world war started; which countries were involved in the war; how long the war lasted and what it was like for people living in those times (particularly in our local area/village).

Our class novel is Private Peaceful by Michael Morpurgo and I know that you're going to love this!

During the Autumn term, we will also be learning about The Theory of Evolution in science, and in PE, we will be doing cross country and hockey.

Spring Term 2022

More information coming soon!

PE Days

Our PE days are on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  On these days, please come to school in your PE kit rather than bringing it with you in a bag.   PE kit includes: white t-shirt, black or blue jogging bottoms, black or blue shorts, jacket/hoodie/fleece (for colder weather).
