On Wednesday 5th March 2014 children had a visit from Sheffield University student's, who brought in pond life for children to look at under the microscope, dinosaur vertebrae fossil, dinosaur egg and the bones from an elephants foot. Children also had the opportunity to go across to the science lab in Wales High School and look at slides under a micro scope, bacteria that had been grown and specimens of a variety of creatures. The High School also provided children with bio viewers to look at animal and plant cells, as well as human blood cells. The children and staff would like to say a big thank you to the students from Sheffield University and Mrs Welsh, Head of Science at Wales High School, for helping organise and run workshops on Science Day 2014.
