On Monday 3rd April our school librarians had the opportunity to visit Kiveton Library to learn more about the role of a librarian. The children looked at how the shelves were organised by the author's surname in the fiction section and had an introduction to the Dewey System for the non-fiction section. The children really enjoyed having a go at scanning the books and stamping them like a real librarian! The children asked lots of great questions and explained to the staff at Kiveton Library what they did in our school library. We hope that this visit will equip them to understand their role in school further with Mrs Smith. Thanks again to Kiveton Library staff.
