Kiveton Park Meadows Junior School

We take care, we show care.

Bio-dome community project

With help from the lottery funding we were able to buy a Bio-Dome.  Together, with support from members from the local Parish Church people in the community, residents of Kiveton will be able to grow and eat fruit and vegetables as part of our community project to encourage local families to eat healthily.

Our Bio-Dome being built and children filling the beds with topsoil ready for planting.

We have just planted our first vegetable plants (Tomatoes, peppers, aubergine, cucumber and pumpkin)

25 Jul 2016 - The plants are growing well.

2 Aug 2016 - Our tomatoes are turning red, 2 cucumbers are doing really well and pumpkin starting to flower.

5 Aug 2016 - The tomatoes are really developing, together with the cucumbers.

We would like to say a big thank you to Dobbies' Garden centre, for their generous support and donation of compost, fruit and vegetable plants, as well as advice; Wales Parish Council and Councillor Dominic Beck for their generous donations. Children have been able to prepare the bio-dome ready for residents in the local community to eat healthily.
