A group of Y5 children had an opportunity to make jewellery cast from pewter. The started by making models of the jewellery from a special wax. Next the models were encased in plaster of paris to make the moulds. With the help of Wales High School, D & T department, who melted the wax from the moulds, melting the pewter and pouring it into the moulds while the children watched from a safe distance. The children would like to thanks Gary Drabble for providing the opportunity and materials for the children to make the jewellery and Wales High School D & T department for helping cast the jewellery.
